D2LED recognized with Product Innovation Award
Our D2LED downlight is a highly aesthetic 2” aperture fixture that combines superior brightness control with energy savings and low maintenance benefits – and has once again been confirmed as a truly revolutionary lighting design.
We are proud to announce that D2LED has won two awards in Architectural SSL magazine’s 2012 Product Innovation Awards (PIA) – recognized in the Downlight category and as the Most Effective New Product.
Judges specifically commented on D2LED: “Easy to install, long life and accurate color rendering… A product that can achieve this amount of output from a very small source (2-in.) is well-suited for a number of end-use solutions.”
About the SSL PIA program
Now in its second year, the PIA program determines and honors the most innovative LED and solid-state luminaires on the market, while also recognizing the companies behind those components. A distinguished panel of 24 designers and lighting specialists skilled in product evaluation judged this year’s submissions.
The awards are organized into interior, exterior and components categories and recognize manufacturers based on attributes, qualities, functionality and/or performance beyond industry standards.
