Prescolite had a great time attending Greenbuild this year in Chicago, along with thousands of other building professionals, to learn the latest in green building practices. It’s amazing to see just how far energy efficient technology has come – as well as to see how businesses and brands of all kinds use it in their day-to-day practices.  Here are a few observations from the show:

• As exhibitors, we were able to display and promote our newest energy efficient collections alongside our sister brand, Progress Lighting.
• There were a lot of questions surrounding LED fixtures – payback, performance and optics - and we enjoyed participating in these conversations immensely.
• We also spoke with several groups of students who are actively involved in designing green homes in their coursework. It’s great for the building industry that young professionals are getting exposure to green building practices at the college level.

Overall we are finding that people are hungry for knowledge, particularly when it comes to advancements in energy efficient technology and how it relates to real-world challenges.
