6" & 8" DOWNLIGHTS MEET HIGHER EFFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS, MAINTAIN VISUAL COMFORT
Interested in achieving the ultimate balance between art and engineering, Prescolite has introduced VirtualSource55, 6" and 8" vertical and horizontal high efficiency architectural CFL downlights that feature well defined and abrupt 55-degree cutoff.
Because of strict ASHRAE guidelines and other requirements that limit the allowable watts per square foot in a space or building, Prescolite has expanded its successful VirtualSource offering to include VirtualSource55.
Compared to the VirtualSource 45-degree cutoff, VirtualSource55 fixtures offer higher efficiencies and spacing criteria. This provides the opportunity to properly illuminate a space with fewer fixtures while maintaining the high visual comfort the market has come to expect from Prescolite. Additionally, VirtualSource55 fixtures:
- Limit power density in a space
- Eliminate distracting glare
- Provide even light distribution
Expansion to popular VirtualSource line increases efficiency while maintaining visual comfort
Superior brightness and glare control have always been features with Architektur's successful VirtalSource offering," said Ron Newbold, vice president, brand management for Prescolite. "Recognizing that optical cutoff angles for downlights are important in a space, VirtualSource55 can now be used in applications when it’s necessary to gain efficiency, while maintaining sensitivity and reducing distractions among occupants. It is the optimum balance between art and engineering."
